I do not ask you to become different people in front of the camera. I observe gestures, embraces and relationships, leaving room for you and the people celebrating with you.
Documentary photography does not mean leaving you without guidance. When useful, simple direction can help you feel comfortable, without staging emotions or repeatedly interrupting your wedding.

Ceremony, portraits, reception and party have different rhythms. We agree on priorities and any time for portraits, without turning everything into a series of poses.
After the wedding
Selection and editing bring continuity to the story. Formats, delivery arrangements and timing will be specified in the proposal for your wedding.

Alessandra & Gianluca — All the ways of being there
Convento dei Neveri
Alessandra and Gianluca’s wedding morning began with buffets in both homes and guests arriving. The heat was intense and humid. Before the ceremony, Gianluca kept asking me about the vows he had written: he was not sure whether to read them. Jessica and I followed a day in which family was present in many different ways. Some had been planned. Others unfolded in front of us.

Nikla & Maurizio — More than a wedding
Villa Acquaroli
Maurizio and I liked each other straight away. He is direct, serious and plain-spoken, and I recognised something of myself in that. We met twice before the wedding. At one of those meetings, a freshly printed photograph was enough to add something to their plans. Then came conversations about organising the day, the growing connection between Nikla and Jessica, and a wedding that called for both quiet and a party full of music.

Laura & Davide — From tears to laughter
Daniela, Laura’s wedding witness, was the person who introduced us. I had met her the previous August, and she recommended me as their photographer. A month after Laura and Davide’s wedding, I would photograph her own. Jessica and I shared a day that began with deeply moving moments and grew increasingly lively at the reception. There was also a coloured-smoke surprise that neither of us had been told about. And there was Daniela, playfully taking Laura’s glass away, then bringing everyone to tears with her speech.
